SAN RAFAEL, CA (February 2, 2015) – Gil Family Estates (GFE) which operates eight wineries spread throughout seven D.O.’s (Denominación de Origen) in Spain, has nearly tripled sales from 2010 and report a growth of 20% from 2013 to 2014 with sales of over 7.5 million bottles, or 625,000 standard cases, of wine. Spanish Wines are Gaining Ground in U.S. Market – Rueda Region and the Verdejo Varietal In Particular

Rueda of central Spain. Accordingly, the U.S. consumer is exploring those appellations which are not as well established as say, D.O. Rioja. Delaforce Touriga Nacional 2011 scored 93 points by Wine Spectator (WS) and the 2007 scored 90 points by Wine Enthusiast (WE).
